It's here!!!

We just returned from a trip to Chicago. It was a great time to spend with our twins. They will be teen agers in 3 days. They plan more for their birthdays than for Christmas...hilarious to me!

The city was wonderful. Walking, loud, quiet, parks, ice-skating...sky scrapers...good food, laughter...lots of talking...cold...windy...beautiful.

Back to reality. School will be back in session on Monday morning!

I've taken John 14:27 to be my verse for right now:
Peace
I leave with you; my
Peace
I give to you.
I do not give to you
as the world gives.
Do NOT let your heart be troubled
and do not be afraid.--NIV

The New Year is HERE...I will not fear. Nothing is going to happen to me this year that is not filtered through the love of my God & my King. Nothing about my life will be a surprise to Him. I will have no fear!
Praise Him...and Happy New Year!

Oooo, I'm so jealous you were in Chicago -- my old stomping ground! I love Fairfield but sometimes I miss it so much... Thanks for facilitating my quick trip down memory lane. And yes, we could all use some peace -- me with a VERY busy 17 month old and you with twin teenage girls! May all the Peace He sends surpass all our understanding. Blessings and see you Saturday! :)

Chicago, Chicago, my kind of town:)! Put music to those words, or LOL. It sounded like fun and I am praying we go someday. I really liked the verse you chose. I chose a verse to start this year. It will take discipline for me to stick with one verse very long. Discipline is good for me and brings PEACE. Our grandsons will turn nine this month. That is pretty peaceful, except for wow they age fast?! "Teenage twin girls" blows that away:) I can't wait to hear all about the party. I am praying for peace in all you do this day.
